REIWA member helping first home buyers feel more confident

First home buyers are navigating a changing market, with a range of new and expanded support measures announced in recent State and Federal Budgets.

One REIWA member is taking a different approach to first home buyer support, hosting a free education event to help buyers feel more informed before entering the market.

The event, Inhabit Your First Home: Your Path to Ownership, gave first home buyers the chance to ask questions, hear from industry professionals and build their confidence in a welcoming setting.

Hosted by Inhabit Property, the evening brought together a panel of professionals across property, finance and lifestyle services.

The discussion covered finance, current market conditions, lifestyle considerations and practical steps buyers can take when preparing to purchase their first home.

The event attracted people at different stages of the buying journey, from those just starting to explore the market to those actively preparing to make a purchase.

Inhabit Property Owner and Selling Principal Brendon Habak said the event reflected the agency’s focus on education, community and supporting buyers before they make one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

“Traditionally, the real estate industry can often feel heavily transactional,” he said.

“We wanted to create something different, an environment where people feel supported, informed and empowered before making one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

“What made the evening so rewarding was seeing people leave feeling more confident, more educated and more connected to the right professionals.

“There’s a real gap in the market for events like this, and we believe the industry has a responsibility to do more to support buyers beyond simply selling homes.”

Mr Habak also said the event was also about showing how real estate professionals could use their knowledge and networks to provide practical value to the wider community.
